Dunbar Primary Orienteering Club – Adventure Starts Here!

Orienteering is an exciting outdoor adventure sport that exercises both mind and body, and is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. The aim is to navigate between checkpoints marked on a special map. There’s no set route – the challenge and fun come from finding the best way to go!

We’re thrilled to launch a brand new Orienteering Club at Dunbar Primary School, open to P5–P7 pupils. All you need is a pair of trainers and clothing suitable for the weather. Our fun activities will help pupils learn the basic skills needed to take part in real events.

 Target Event:

On Wednesday 4th of March 2026, the Outdoor Learning Service Team will be running the East Lothian Schools Orienteering Festival at the Musselburgh Lagoons and Mrs Robertson will be transporting a DPS team to the event.

It is hoped that the children who attend this event will feel inspired to progress to the next level and want to attend the Scottish Schools orienteering Festival in Beecraigs Country Park by Linlithgow 4th June 2026.
