1. If your child has previously benefited from additional support, please let us know when signing up. We may call or email you to discuss further how can help to support your child
2. Please note by signing your child up to school hockey you are giving permission for them to participate in school training and competitions, both home and away for NBHS Hockey Season 2025/26

Thank you for signing up to NBHS S4-6 girls' hockey 2025/26.

When is training?

Training is on a Thursday afternoon from 1530-1630 on the astroturf at NBHS.

What kit do I need?

For training, just your normal P.E. kit – trainers, tracksuits trousers / shorts, t-shirt, sweatshirt, rain jacket. If you have a mouth guard and shin guards, we would strongly recommend that you wear them. If you don’t have a mouth guard, they can be picked up cheaply at any sports shop. You can borrow a hockey stick from school.

If I get the bus home, how do I get back from training?

You can use your normal bus pass to get home on a later bus.

What if the weather is bad, will we still train?

 Only if the weather is bad will we not train – a little bit of rain or wind won’t put us off!

The coaches will make a decision by the end of the school day, and will communicate the message to pupils if training is off.

What if I’ve never played hockey before?

Come along! Everyone is welcome. If you’ve not played hockey before, we will help you to learn the basics, and   develop your skills. We will also have senior pupil helpers, who will be able to give extra help to the less experienced players..
