The Aberlady Gala Week Fun Run is back for 2025! This is an Aberlady Gala event, delivered by our fantastic Aberlady Jog Club volunteer team and supported by Active Schools North Berwick.
Taking place on Thursday 12th June, the Fun Run is approximately 1km following the main path through the Aberlady Bay Nature Reserve. After the run, the group will walk to the beach for more fun games and activities before returning to the car park for presentations. The event is open to pupils from P2-P7 pupils from Aberlady Primary School and the Aberlady area (P2's must run with an adult).
Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance.

This is to allow time to confirm final numbers and prepare registers and runner lists in advance of the event.
Photo and Video Permissions - Please Read
Photos and/or videos may be taken during the event, including a photo of all runners together at the end of the event. The booking form includes a photo permission option on behalf of Active Schools, however for the purposes of this event, please be aware that by clicking yes this will include permission for our event volunteers to take photos during the event on behalf of Aberlady Gala. If you do not give permission for your child to appear in event photos/videos, please use this section of the booking form to indicate this by selecting no.
Event Support
The Aberlady Jog Club team are looking for extra volunteers to help ensure a safe and successful event for all. If you are available on the day to support the event (e.g. being a marshal on the course or helping to organise runners at the start/finish areas), please include this in the customer note section of the online booking form.
Please note - Aberlady Fun Run is an Aberlady Gala Event and not an East Lothian Council or Active Schools event. Active Schools are supporting with pre-event sign up and organisation of the event. Aberlady Gala will be responsible for the delivery of the event with support from the Aberlady Jog Club volunteer team.
We are using the Active Schools online booking system, however, please be aware that by signing up to the event you agree to the above and that your booking information and permissions will be shared with the event organisers on behalf of Aberlady Gala for the purposes of the event.

Kit Required: Clothing and footwear appropriate for outdoor activity on trails and sand (t-shirt and jumper, shorts and/or jogging bottoms/leggings, trainers; waterproofs); please dress appropriately for the often unpredictable weather and remember waterproofs during wet weather; water bottle with name on it.
