Welcome to Active Schools Orienteering

We’re excited to bring Orienteering to Gullane this term! David Robertson, local volunteer with ELC Outdoor Learning, is our Orienteering activity leader and he has been visiting different schools throughout East Lothian each term to offer a free introduction to Orienteering for P4-7 pupils with Active Schools.

With a variety of games, activities and challenges, these after-school sessions will provide an excellent introduction to the fundamental skills of Orienteering, including map-reading and how to navigate between check points.

David will meet the group in the school playground on the football pitch (outside the new gym hall) each week straight after school to start the sessions at 12:30pm. Depending on the activity each week, the sessions will take place within the school grounds or in the park opposite the school.

Online booking for Orienteering at Gullane Primary School will open at 6pm on Friday 25th August.
