Badminton P4-7 at Preston Lodge High School

Badminton will return later this term with the support of our PLHS Future Leaders who are keen to develop their coaching skills while sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport. Sessions will be supervised by Stewart Sands, Active Schools Coordinator.

Our P4-7 Badminton classes are currently open to children from both Prestonpans and Tranent school areas, offering a great opportunity for pupils to build friendships and meet children from other schools.

EL Schools Primary Badminton Tournament P5-P7

Active Schools is pleased to announce they are hosting EL Schools Badminton Singles Tournament for P5-P7 on Friday 28th November at Dunbar Grammar School. The Tournament is being supported by Badminton Scotland and Local East Lothian Badminton Clubs with DGS Future Leaders facilitating matches. 

The Tournament Format 

• The Tournament is 24 players with 4 pools of 6 players. Every one will play everyone in their pool. One game, first to 15.
• Top 2 from each pool will go into quarter, then semi final and then final.

Please note: the deadline for booking is 2 working days before the start of the activity block. This is to help us ensure we know participant numbers and information in advance of classes starting, and allow us time to prepare registers and share this information with coaches and activity leaders. If you would like to book after this time or after an activity block has started, please email Stewart Sands, Active Schools Coordinator directly at ssands@elcschool.org.uk to check if spaces are available.
