Ross High School Athletics
We require all parents and athletes to register their child if they wish to enter SSAA Athletics Events for the 2025/26 school year. We will use SPOND to communicate these event details for participants to register. We will Use the SPOND App to update you on any events that take place throughout the school year.
Ross High School Running Club
From here you can book a place with Ross High Running Club.
Our school Running Club is open to all pupils who attend Ross HS, once signed up they can attend the weekly sessions.
The running club routes will be based in the surrounding areas of Ross High School, making use of footpaths and local routes.
Please make sure your child is aware that local roads will need to be crossed and they should be confident and competent on how to do so safely.
Though supervised, due to the nature of the activity, there will be times where some pupils will be responsible for their own safe crossing of roads.
This club is suitable for the experienced runner, and those new to running. For those who would like to run socially, improve their fitness, times and possibly enter competitions against other schools, including cross country.

Ross High Running Club – Boys and Girls
Venue: After getting changed, meet in the PE Classroom – Running Routes will be around or near to Ross High School
Ages: Any pupil who attends Ross High School
Days/Dates: Every School Tuesday from 2nd September
Session Times: Tuesday 3.45pm to 4.45pm, with the pupils expected to meet in the PE classroom at 3.45pm.
Sessions start on Tuesday 2nd September and will continue each School Tuesday.
Pupils should sign up here before attending a training session.
Price: FREE
Notes:
- The Date 23/06/26 is the end date for signing up.
- Irrespective of running last season, ALL players must be signed up using this online system by a parent or guardian.
- If your child has previously benefitted from additional support, please let us know when signing up.
We may call you to discuss further to how we can support your child.

SPOND APP
We use a smartphone App to communicate directly with Parents & Players
once registered via booking live, you will in due course receive an automatic notification to join SPOND.
If you are an existing SPOND user, an invitation will appear in your app. If not, your invitation will be sent in an email.
When signing up your child in SPOND, Please ensure the members name is the child’s name and not the parent and guardians name. (Guardians name are requested additionally)
It is vitally important that Players/Parents respond to SPOND Training, Matches or events so the coach knows who is attending. This helps planning immensely.
All changes to session/match dates to times, or match information will be notified through SPOND
