Lawn Bowls with East Lothian Bowling Club
As a commonwealth Sport, Bowls is one of Scotland's most successful sports and the Gold Coast Games this year have been no exception! Every single bowler from the team of 10 earned at least one medal, with 2 of our own Bowlers from right here in East Lothian (Alex Marshall and Derek Oliver) earning 2 medals each, including Derek earning 2 Gold Medals in the Pairs and Fours.
East Lothian Indoor Bowling Club would love to give any child who has been inspired by the Games to take up the sport and at its home Green at Meadomwill Sports Centre in Tranent these free sessions will hopefully be the beginnings of a brand new youth section to give any child in the area the chance for some competitive bowls in a sport which can really played for life!!
