Active East Lothian Rock Climbing | Tranent

Did you know Tranent has its very own 7.7 metre Climbing Wall located right in the centre of Tranent?

Active Schools has linked with enjoyleisure (who run the Climbing Wall at Foresters Park) to allow everyone to try climbing with fully qualified instructors.

The Climbing Wall can be found just off Lindores Drive, Tranent, EH33 1JB, in the building next to Tranent Community Football Club 3G Football pitches.

The novice classes are for those who are new to rock climbing and aren't yet confident with the basics, safety aspects and climbing different routes.

The intermediate classes are open to anyone who has climbed before and feels comfortable with the safety aspects of climbing.

All classes are delivered by the same coach, on the same wall the only difference is the novice classes cater more to teaching basics and may spend longer going over safety.

Please note: Although this class is for P4-7, children must be a minimum of 8 years old for insurance purposes.

The deadline for booking is 2 days before the start of the activity block. This is to help us ensure we know participant numbers and information in advance of classes starting, and allow us time to prepare registers and share this information with coaches and activity leaders. If you would like to book after this time or after an activity block has started, please email Niamh Westwood, Active Schools Coordinator directly at nwestwood@elcschool.org.uk to check if spaces are available.
