Witchcraft in Haddingtonshire 2024

St Mary’s Kirk, Sidegate, Haddington EH41 4BZ

Tuesday 3 September

7:30 – 9:00 pm

Why was Haddingtonshire such a hotbed of witchcraft in the 16th and 17th centuries? Who were the alleged witches and why were they accused?  Who were their accusers? How were they punished?

In this talk, author Marie Macpherson attempts to answer some of these burning questions.

Cost: £10 (Funds raised to be shared between St Mary’s Kirk and Haddington’s History Society)
