FAMILY ACTIVITIES
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times, therefore spaces must be booked for both adults and children attending.
Our activities are aimed at families with children age 5+, however younger siblings may attend for free.
Please ensure you wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear on the day.
There is a car parking fee at some of our coastal car parks.
If there is no 'Book Now' button shown the event it is fully booked.
Refunds will only be issued up to a week before the date of the event.

Build a Nest Box
Tuesday 17 February 2026 | 1000-1200 hours | The Barn - Archerfield Walled Garden
Join the East Lothian Countryside Rangers as they guide you through making your very own bird box. Work with your family as you build a home for your feathered friends that you can take away with you. Learn more about birds and their varied and fascinating approaches to nesting.
£18 per bird box. One group per bird box. Maximum of 4 people per bird box. Must have at least one adult per group and all children must be supervised by an adult. Aimed at ages 8+ years.
All materials and tools will be provided but do bring your own gloves (suitable for woodwork) if you have them. Email ranger@eastlothian.gov.uk with any questions
