Developing Professional Learning Communities and Practitioner Enquiry in a secondary school

This Professional Learning session is being delivered by Head Teachers for Head Teachers.

 Outcomes

 On completion of the course, participants will have developed their thinking on the following GTCS Standards:

  •  Promote collaborative practice to support a culture of learning within and beyond school (4.2.2)
  •  Critically engage with literature, research and policy (4.2.7)

 

 Outline Programme

  • An outline of the school’s experience of developing professional learning through a wide variety of approaches, and what we’ve learnt on the way.
  •  An example of how enquiry-based professional learning can be built into a Working Time Agreement.
  •  An opportunity for participants to share their school’s approaches to developing professional learning.
