Computer Explorers run a range of innovative and creative workshops for young people.  They have joined up with Arts Service to offer the  workshops below for young people during the summer.

Lego Animation

Stop-motion animation is one of the simplest and most fun animation techniques.  Combine this with LEGO and you have a winning combination for young film makers.  A fantastic way to bring your favorite LEGO creations to life.

We will teach you the techniques you need to become a magical movie producer and produce your very own animation which can be viewed by family and friends .  Can you recreate your very own Lego Movie?

Using the latest Lego robotics technology to build and program amazing creatures which can move using motors, gears and wheels. Our young roboteers will learn how to program sensors to make the robot react to its surroundings. Program robot birds to chirp, crocodiles to snap and plane engines to rev!

Video Game Design with Xbox Controllers

Use an Xbox controller to create and design your own game. Students will create a range of terrains, worlds and characters, controlling the characters’ movement, sound and vision using an intuitive icon-based programming language

Love video games? Create your very own games and interactive stories
as you learn how to make characters move, jump, dance and sing. Add
your own voices and sounds, even insert your own photographs—then
use the blocks to make your characters come to life!
