East Lothian Council Young Carer Service are working with Venturing Out to provide Tranent Young Carers with an opportunity to meet other Young Carers from their local area and try out some Adventurous Activities over the Summer Holidays. All activities are FREE and specialised equipment is provided. We will provide transport were necessary but would also encourage the use of the free public transport available to all young people. You will need to bring the following:
Appropriate clothing and footwear for the scottish weather
Sunscreen
A drink, snack and packed lunch
Swimsuit/shorts and trainers for water activities.
Tranent Young Carers Tree Climbing/Bush Craft
Qualified "Venturing Out" staff will support you to experience the thrill of climbing trees to new heights. Bush craft activities include, shelter building, fire lighting, camp craft skills, foraging, bows n arrows and a range of forest games.
