The history of Papple from the 14th Century 2023

 Papple Steading is one of the finest "model farms" in the UK. It was designed and built by Haddington contractor Francis Farquharson in 1860 [completed by 1871] and commissioned by the young laird AJ Balfour who would become British Prime Minister in 1902. The discussion and tour will begin at the ruins of Papple Tower and continue to review the farmhouse, Grieve's Cottage and cart shed, all of which have been renovated.
