MGS Football
Football is very popular at Musselburgh Grammar School. We aim to offer plenty opportunities for students to train, play and compete through our East Lothian Schools games and EMSFA tournaments.
We are proud to team up with Technical Edge Coaching and Musselburgh Windsor to provide quality football sessions.
Our sessions are open to all Musselburgh Grammar students. Once signed up, students are expected to attend the weekly training sessions.
Team selections for matches will be chosen from training sessions- highlighting the importance of students attending team training.
**Please Note by signing your child up to join any of our teams you are giving permission for them to participate in all school training sessions and matches for season 2025/26.
***Girls and Senior Boys football will be an initial trial/meeting for match teams. If demand is high, we will look to put on team training.

MGS Girls Football Season 2025/2026
Name: MGS Girls Football Season 2025/26
Ages: S1-S3 Pupils
From discussions with students, for this academic year, we will be having our girls football team as a competition group. We ask all parents and guardians to register their child up for a trial day to select our S1-S3 Girls Football Team. Once we receive all registrations, we will set a trial day with our coach Lucy Meldrum. The girls will be competing in games across East Lothian and Midlothian.
Registration will close on Monday 25th August. Names will be collected and information will be sent via email shortly after.
All future match information will be communicated through the SPOND app. We ask that you download this so you are informed of training and match details.

- The date 27th August is only used for the booking system to process your registration. It is not a date for a session.
- We are working on a trial date which will be confirmed via email

MGS Senior Boys Football Season 2025/2026
Name: MGS Senior Boys Football Season 2025/26
Ages: S4-S6 Pupils
From discussions with students, for this academic year, we will be having our senior boy’s football team as a competition group. We ask all parents and guardians to register their child up for the squad. Once we receive all registrations, we will organise a day for Mr Michie. The boys will be competing in games across East Lothian and Midlothian.
Registration will close on Monday 25th August. Names will be collected and information will be sent via email shortly after.
